Alli and I meet on a daily and weekly basis to organize our schedules, discuss student and staff needs, and to plan collaboratively. Alli has done a great job taking the lead on our Learning Support this year, as well as our playground committee and numerous other tasks. We have both been able to collaborate and share different strengths and experiences with each other, which we felt has contributed to our success this school year.

This year, we have worked hard to empower our teacher leaders to take the lead on projects that support our school goals and to present and offer PD for each other at each of our staff meetings. Below are some of our teacher leadership opportunities:
This year, we have worked on creating lots of inclusive learning opportunities for all of our students which can be used by classes or during cross graded activities. Our Play PLC group, researched and created our "Tinker Tray" station (above) which utilizes different objects so that students can use their imaginations, tell stories about what they have created, and write down their ideas. These are used by our learning support lead and EA's to provide hands on learning activities and during our cross graded writer's workshops.
Our Lego Tables are located in the learning commons and used by students and teachers for a variety of activities including science, STEM, creative writing and math concepts. Students also use this as a calming activity when they are working on self-regulation skills. This is a drop in activity which is available to all, and utilized on a regular basis by students who need it.
